Oh and transfers haven't happened yet. They are tomorrow. But i am staying in Kirtland and so is Sister Denison. A lot of the sisters are staying where they are. I think because of Christmas. There is one sister that left this transfer and they had to leave yesterday because the church does flights earlier at Christmas. She was serving in Fairport which is in the Kirtland ward with us and we live in the same house with them so her companion sister Goodman is in a triple up with us til tomorrow.
Last week we went with a few other missionaries up to Joseph Smith's variety store and his home. We had already had a transfer meeting in the home, but it was still fun. The variety store was way cool. Elder Miles was telling us all about what he thought were the original things. It's really old and has not been kept up at all and has been a lot of other things since then.
Some guy from a big newspaper in Cleveland came to do a story about the nativities. Elder Edman was just telling us how huge it was that he was here and then was like these sisters can take you on tour of the sites cause he wanted to see them. I was so scared. But it was good. He loved it. He has had a lot of exposure to the church throughout his entire life. It was fun.
We got a copy of the article and hung it up in the lunch room so that we could read it. He called later that day and read it to Elder Edman and said that he was going to have to come back with his family. It was great. We were excited. And a lot of people have seen the paper and decided to come and that's how they found out about it. It's been great. Sometimes it's amazing how people end up at the visitor center or just decide to come here.
