I went on exchanges on saturday with sister rasmussen. She's one of the training sisters. She's really nice. We ended up tracting most of the day. Lots of fun.
We were at this less actives house. It's these two old ladies and they are twins and about 85. One had a stroke and can't get around very much and the other one has cateracts and can't see at all. She came in the room and went to sit on the couch that we were already sitting on and she almost sat right on us before they started telling her no. And every time we see her she tells us how much she doesn't like that we don't say the Lord's prayer every sunday at church and i think she is one of the most negative people i have ever met. It's kind of funny.
And the other one is funny. This is how one of their conversations went:
I have this thing. what's it called again?
Dementia.
That's right i have dementia.
We were trying not to laugh.
We've been trying to work with the members and get to know them, but i don't know why but they aren't being very cooperative. We did have a great member lesson. They have a three little kids, the oldest is six and we barely talked the whole time, but they basically talked the whole time and committed themselves to invite their friends to come to have dinner with us. So we are trying, but it's been hard.
