Yay, for the 24th of july. We had a picnic at the morley farm with everybody. We had president interviews though. I really like president Vellinga. So we taught sister lee the chicken dance because she didn't know it before. That was fun, but now it's always stuck in our heads.
So jojo. We had three lessons with her this week and they were all about prophets because she doesn't believe that there is just one. The second lesson there was like five other people that happened to come and none of us could get one word in. It was really bad. We finally just told her that we had to go.
She believes that Joseph Smith was a prophet though. Trust me we have tried to explain it to her what that means. But while i was thinking about it, i was thinking about prophets way back and there were probably more than one on the earth at a time because we have everything on Christ's side of the world and then the Book of Mormon prophets and the reason they would need more prophets and establishing his church in more than one place is because everybody was spread out and they couldn't communicate. And now we have that communication that one person can touch the entire world. Does that make sense? Jojo doesn't like the fact that there is just one prophet and he just happens to be the president of our church. But she's come a little closer since then and i think it's going to be ok.So we had this headquarters referral and his name is mike. He's been taught by the missionaries for the last four years in nebraska. He's had a lot of things happen in his life in the past week or so and we don't know how long he will be here, but when we met with him about half way through he just points to me and says that i am giving him the creeps because it looks like i am staring straight into his soul and then every few minutes after that he would just say you can't keep looking at me like that. But we all reminded him of someone from his past and the next time we met with him i asked him who i reminded him of and it was an old girlfriend he had that had left him for another girl. He said that it really freaked him out when i got out of the car.
Today a member from the ward, Sister Wolfley, picked us up and we went to this cemetery where james garfield and elliot ness are buried and squires castle. and the quarry. It was fun.
