The heat is a killer

The heat is a killer. We didn't really get affected by the storm. It rained really hard for a little bit and it was the greatest. I loved it. The couple days that we have been in our area it's been about 98 or so degrees, plus humidity. It's been insane. Some people give us water though every once in a while. I do know that the only way that i am surviving is because i am on a mission. I don't think i could do it otherwise.

Well we found out about transfers last night and both me and sister v are getting transferred. We had district meeting this morning and it was really good, but really sad too. I would ask sister v at least four times a day what she thought was going to happen. I think she wanted at least one of us to get transferred so she didn't have to go through transfer week again with me.

We did tract into this lady who at first was kind of mad that we knocked on her door and it was so cool cause she changed after we talked to her for about a minute. We ended up talking to her for a while and gave her an invitation to this kirtland play and she was really excited and then we asked what we could do for her. She just started crying and talking to us and basically told us that for the past two years she was living the law of chastity because she felt like it was something that she needed to do. It was really great. And hopefully we will get to see her tonight.

Just by going around and talking to different people about what they believe just makes me realize more and more how much the gospel makes sense. And it just keeps making more and more sense. It's amazing.

In section 88 it talks about the school of the prophets and it's amazing. I don't think i really would have gotten it without being here. At the end it tells them to have the school of the prophets so they can learn and go out on missions. The last page talks about how the teacher would come in and prepare and pray before class and then he would meet them at the door and they had an oath that he would say. The men would have to repeat it or just say amen. When you read it it's better though. It's great.

It's funny that you mention smelling the roses because people have really cool flowers in their yards and i like them a lot. I don't know if they don't have them in utah or that i just didn't look at that many peoples flowers.

We had a mouse in our house. It was scary. Don't worry i stayed on my bed the whole time, but there is still mouse traps in the bathroom.
