So this week was good. It seems like it all happened in like 2 seconds but also like it was two months ago. Time is the weirdest thing.
So we helped a less active move a little this week. I felt kind of bad because the ward was kind of really happy to get rid of her. But she is moving up to willoughby which is in kirtland's area and the sister that is now there served down here so she knows her really well.
This week was kind of busy and crazy. We have been kind of babysitting anna's husband jay cause anna is so busy. On tuesday we went to kent social services and anna dropped jay off. We tried to explain what we were doing with the cans and where to put them if they were good. It was a lot of fun and so funny. A lot of what we did that day was go around and put the things in the right place that he put somewhere else. Like peanut butter doesn't really go with the gravy. It was so fun.
Then a member came and drove him to institute and at the end brother bowers wanted to take him to lunch but he wanted to leave and walk home himself. We were kind of worried about that and if he knew how to get home. So we texted anna to let her know and make sure it was ok that he left and she texted back he'll be fine. We practiced asking for directions last night.
We also got a member from the ward next to us that speaks chinese and he brought him to a baptism that the ravenna sisters had on saturday. It was good because we actually got to hear what he was thinking. We have spent lots of time with him, but couldn't really understand him at all. He is so awesome. He really has like a light about him. He has told us a lot about the people in china and what he recognizes about them and he said how those that believe in god have peace in their life. He grew up in the countryside.
But we also found out on saturday night at dinner at the bowers that he believes in multiple gods and he has been searching for a mediator between him and god, but he doesn't think it is jesus christ. This is right after we watched finding faith in christ (in chinese by the way). He thinks what anna has is great, but he's still not sure about it for him. There is also a sister that is going to taiwan on her mission and is waiting for her visa and they sent her to the fairport sisters and so we are going to try to get her to come down with us for a little bit so he can be more taught in chinese. It's been really fun to spend time with him.
We went up to the Johnson farm on saturday cause in the summer the areas down here also serve at the johnson farm. It's a really neat place. I love it. I don't know like anything about it yet though.
The library is open and we had to go over to kent state before coming here and everybody was in school. We were so confused. I don't know if they don't recognize the government or what.
Well, the church is true.
