Hey guess what the sun is shining here too. It's kind of weird to have it out. I'm not even wearing my boots today. So this week was good. So we went bowling last pday. It was fun. Sometimes it's nice to relax and not worry.
On wednesday we had zone conference. It was so great. We talked about the law of chastity all afternoon. And i'm being for reals. It was really good. The kirtland zone had it last thursday so they got to talk about the law of chastity all valentine's day. How fitting.
So there is a sister that is here waiting for her visa. She is in a triple up with the fairport sisters. She is going to taiwan and she was only in the mtc for two weeks because she already knew chinese and went to china on a study abroad at byu and lived in the exact same town that jay is living and she speaks like fluently. So a senior couple brought her to our zone conference and she stayed with us til we went back to kirtland on thursday night. It was really cool because President vellinga felt really strongly that she should be in kirtland which doesn't make much sense since she is a full proselyting missionary so she is sometimes juggled around to different companionships.
We didn't really get to have a sit down lesson with jay, but he came and did service with us for a couple hours so Sister Haupt got to talk to him while we pealed carrots. I think it went well. He left to go back to china today. We were so sad. I don't know how much good we did. He said last night that whenever we started to talk about gospel stuff it wasn't as happy, so we felt kind of bad. But i think it was because we were trying to figure out what he was talking about and then figure out how to say it in words that he would know and so we would just be thinking a lot. I guess he has all the material to study now.
On saturday night we got to go the ysa branch talent show. There was like a bunch of people there. It was kind of weird and quite a few non members. It was really cool. It was fun. Us and the elders sang our mission song. It's over now.
So we are getting our hair cut today. Start praying. I'm really scared, but it needs to be done.
So transfers are next week. Only four missionaries are going home (including sister rasmussen and sister denison) and 29 are coming. It is nuts. Did you see all the new missions that are opening? So all i know is that we are getting a lot of missionaries. Next week they are going to have to open 12 new areas and the transfer after that 10 or so more. I have no idea where they are going to put them.
