This is basically what we know about the new calling. We just go on exchanges with each set of sisters every transfer. They better be giving us more miles. Here is a link from Mormon newsroom that talks about it. We decided to study the leadership section in the white handbook. It was super scary.
Last transfer there was only one companionship in Kirkland that stayed the same so this transfer there weren't too many changes. Just those that were training. We had to go sit up on the stand during the transfer meeting and it was super weird. We have a few visa waiters that are in Kirkland This transfer we are at the visitors' center on Friday and Saturday again.
This week was good. We had an awesome tour on Wednesday It was a few ladies that were originally from the south. The mom had a hard time getting places, but she wanted to go upstairs in the store. They just talked for a lot of it and then they would start to leave and ask if there was something that we were going to tell them about the room. It was so funny. It was just a fun tour.
So we kind of got a new investigator. It is this girl named Ariel that goes to Kent State. Her parents are members and they are in the Akron stake. She has met with a lot of missionaries before. She even knows one of the elders that is serving in the branch so that's good. She has a long and complicated story. I don't even know what to think. She says she wants to have a desire, but she doesn't because she is happy with where she is. She talks about the celestial kingdom a lot and she doesn't really have a desire to go there. She's super nice and sweet. I like her a lot. Hopefully she'll get there eventually.
When we went to Kent social services we met a bunch of volunteers that were Quakers That was interesting. It just seems like you can believe whatever you want and just be a nice person. They are just awesome. It's weird because nobody talks about what they believe. It's a different concept.
A professor at Kent State came up and talked to us at our table. He had lots to say, but he really liked continuing revelation. He was trying to prove his point about it and asked me if i would want to marry a caveman. We kind of laughed about it. He didn't laugh though.
The weather has been super weird here too. One day it was 80 degrees and then the next day when we went out for exercises it was snowing. It's just been up and down like that. It's so weird. But the trees blossoms are coming out so it's really pretty.
We don't have mice any more. We had a little health department inspection for the apartment complex the other day so maybe that's why.
The plan of salvation is just the best thing ever. For our Book of Mormon class we have been going through the chapters in the Book of Mormon that testify of Christ and it's way awesome. I guess it's always good to talk about the atonement. It can help us through anything and everything. I mean every time we feel the spirit we are using the atonement. The relief society broadcast last fall talked a lot about it and i really liked it. And Pres. Uchtdorf's talk in Young Womens is way cool when it talks about the preexistence. I think just knowing the plan of salvation gives you perspective on everything. You can know who you are and where you are striving to go and that makes all the difference.
