We also went on exchanges with the Ashtabula East sisters. I stayed in Kent and Sister Frankenberry came with me. I don't really think it went the greatest. We went and taught the Young Women in the ward that is next to us and it was not good. I felt so bad. And then we went and met with our Elders Quorum presidency to talk about the ward mission process with them. We planned on showing them the DVD, but it didn't work so we just talked about it, but i have never actually seen the dvd. I meant to watch it before and didn't have time. But i think it went ok. Our dinner went well and another lesson we had did too so hopefully she'll just remember that part.
So they kind of mixed up our schedule this week. We went to the visitors center on Thursday after we exchanged back and we didn't get there til almost three and it was going to be our last day there because they also put us at the Johnson Farm on Friday. So anyway, that probably doesn't make sense, but we took a tour when we got there and then we took the last half of another tour after that. It was really good. They were from Blackfoot and i liked them a lot so that was good. They were really neat.
Then on Friday after our training meeting and transfer breakfast we got to give one last tour in Kirkland It was SO GOOD. It started out with two sisters from DC and we gave them a little intro and then played the Christus for them. When we asked them if anything stuck out to them one of them just said "Well there wasn't anything really the stuck out from that, but right when you sisters started talking i could just feel the spirit and that is what sticks out the most." It was just an awesome tour. They had both served missions and talked to us about it a lot. We also had a mother and daughter that joined us at the store and the daughter had just gotten her mission call and is leaving in two weeks to go to Washington. It was so exciting. It was an awesome tour.
It was also Sister Goodman's birthday on Friday so that was exciting. Instead of making a cake i made brownies and she made the frosting. And we hadn't been home much or had time at night to celebrate til last night and we went outside and lit some candles. So it was a bit delayed, but we still celebrated.
So Anna the member who just got baptized in December who is from china, cooked us real chinese food on Saturday She made us some rice and some kung pao chicken (way good). She also made this thing that i didn't try because i was too scared and didn't know what it was. It had celery in it and also chicken gizzards. It just sounds like i don't even know what. There was also these potato things. They were like these strands of potatoes that were cooked in this sauce that were really good. We also had this fish and something else soup. There was a bunch of tofu in it. Then we had a fruit cup for dessert. It was good.
